Look's featherweight Keo Blade 2 Ti pedals are popular choices in the pro peloton for good reason—they weigh in at just 90 grams per pedal while offering great durability, quick entry, excellent aerodynamics, secure engagement, and a large pedal/cleat contact area for maximum power transfer. With the limited edition Premium pedals, Look adds the timeless Mondrian logo to the bottom of the pedals to combine top-tier modern technology with classic styling.
The entire pedal package—both pedals, cleats, and all of the hardware—adds up to just 248 grams. Look manages to cram an impressive list of features into the Blade 2, including a smaller stack height (just 13mm) and a larger, even more stable pedal surface compared to the venerable original Blade pedal systems. The stainless steel wear plate is now 64mm wide and has 700mm2 of contact. The carbon springs themselves, or “Blades,” which engage the cleats, have been moved towards the center of the pedal to offer both better protection from road scrapes and improved aerodynamics. The titanium spindles are strong and light—40 grams lighter per set than the Blade 2 CR chromoly-spindled pedals.
The Look Keo Blade 2 Ti Premium pedals come in three different spring resistances to match riders' preferences: 12, 16, or 20Nm. Specify before you buy, but if you find the interface too soft or too stiff, replacement Blade springs are available. Adjusting the amount of pedal float is as easy as choosing the appropriate Look Keo cleats: 0 degrees from the black cleats, 4.5 degrees from the included gray cleats, or 9 degrees from the red models.
