Masterpiece posts weigh approximately 40grams less than the same size Elite model post. This weight reduction wasaccomplished while maintaining the strength and durability expected from aThomson seat post. The setback is 16mm.

Thomson accomplished this weight reductionby machining the seat post all over including the oval inner diameter. Thomsonwere able to hold closer tolerances by machining than by extrusion alone.Machining all over on an already beautiful design makes the Masterpiece seatpost a real work of art.
