The Original absoluteBLACK Premium direct mount 1X Oval chainrings are specifically designed for Sram T-Type transmission drivetrain cranks. Fits cranks with 8-bolt mounting pattern. Chainring teeth have been specifically redesigned to work in all conditions with narrower chains that inherently have less space to accommodate mud. It is the most Premium oval chainring on the market with scientifically proven performance gains. Chainring offset is 3mm (same as stock part).

SRAM CHAINRING MOUNTED BASH GUARD COMPATIBILITY
Our chainrings are not compatible with SRAM’s chainring mounted bash guards, this is due to the fact that any impact sustained by such bash guard would be transferred directly onto the chaining, potentially damaging the chainring and the bash guard. Using an ISCG05 mount-type bash guard, like our Oval Bash Guide, is a much better and much safer solution.

HOW TO MOUNT OUR OVAL CHAINRING TO 8 BOLT INTERFACE CRANK
Remove the crank from the bike. Unscrew all 8 torx t-20 bolts from the crank and remove the old chainring. Clean the crank mounting splines with a cloth and put small amount of grease on them. Position the chainring in place - note, there is only one way to fit this chainring to Sram crank because mounting spline pattern is not fully symmetrical. Close all original 8 bolts to about 4Nm using T-20 torx key.
Please use SRAM’s recommendations for the correct chain length calculation. For this purpose, oval chainring tooth count = round chainring tooth count. As an example, a 32t oval chainring is equivalent to a 32t round chainring.For the 28t absoluteBLACK oval, please use the 30t chainring size for chain length calculation, then take out 2 chain links.
Oval (elliptical) chainring does not compromise the work of clutch mechanism in rear derailleur. Riding out of saddle on the uphill will become more pleasant.
